At FOFCA, we encourage our students and their parents to participate in small groups and our youth groups. We feel they are an essential part of spiritual growth and developing the rich community life God intends for His church.
If your church doesn’t have a youth group or you don’t currently attend a church, we encourage you to join us! We have Bible studies on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM for all ages and on Wednesday nights at 6:15, we have men and women’s Bible studies as well as programs for kids.
During the school year, we offer AWANA for pre-school – 5th grade. For older kids, we have a Jr. High and High School youth groups. During the summer, we offer Kid’s Zone for ages K – 5th, as well as a Jr. High youth group led by Denise Novak and Jameson Hemphill and a High School group led by Josiah Blan. Our teenss do fun retreats and outings during the summer and sponsor events such as garage sales and car washes during the year to raise money to make these things possible.
Now and then, we break off into even smaller groups, as was the case recently when we took our jr. high and high school kids and taught them a purity study. We had the girls and boys in different groups that were further broken down into groups of jr. high and high school. It was extremely successful and we plan on doing other such groups in the fall.
Although small groups study the Bible, they aren’t just Bible studies – they are places for worship, service, prayer and reaching out to our friends. Through studying the Bible, serving and praying together, small group members find the mutual support, practical love and encouragement to grow.
We offer nursery care for infants and toddlers during all service times.
